I had a wonderful experience the other night.
I had shot my very first video over the weekend, and was attempting to upload it from iMovie into YouTube and somehow integrate it into my blog, but didn’t have a CLUE how to do this. (In fact, I have NEVER been anything close to a computer expert… I just stumble and bumble my way until somehow the pieces come together – magically! Honestly, I never am exactly sure how, to tell the truth!) Plus, I am a MAC user in a PC WORLD – go figure!
In any case, thanks to a PHENOMENAL online 6 week course I am currently participating in – THE Home Business Immersion Class - led by the extraordinary Diane Hochman, I met a wonderfully generous and talented Australian lady in Melbourne, Australia who is also a Mac user. Her name is Kristy Lester and she heard my confused video questions during the course of our class and stepped out and offered to help. Kristy took me by the hand after our class session was over and showed me (on skype and also with a handy screen shot application called teamviewer.com) how to make it all come together.
Such GENEROSITY OF SPIRIT!
Throughout our nearly two hour conversation (her download speed was the culprit) we had a wonderfully rich conversation and learned much about one another. I invited Kristy and her family to come visit me in the magnificent Pacific Northwest, promising a whale watching trip as an incentive, and she extended the invitation for a visit to Australia as well… I’m going!
I have found in this wonderful world of Network and Internet Marketing, that my path is continually crossing with individuals of such character, such generosity combined with extensive knowledge and experience, who go out of their way to extend a hand and share what they have learned, with no expectation of immediate return (Rose Mis, you know you immediately come to mind as well!) When you really think about it, EVERYONE has special talents and gifts that can be used for the betterment and empowerment of others; sometimes it is simply a question of identifying what those gifts may be and where they are best showcased.
And in truth, when you are at the receiving end of such limitless generosity, you have no alternative but to pay it forward. It is Natural Law… the Law of Reciprocity. Who doesn’t love the opportunity to help someone else move from foggy confusion to a prideful sense of accomplishment? It’s magical!
Remember… you do not have to get it PERFECT (my video is certainly evidence of that!) You just have to GET IT GOING.
