IF YOU ARE PRONE TO SARCASM, CYNICAL THOUGHT PROCESSES, AND/OR HAVE A DISTINCT AVERSION TO BUOYANT, OPTIMISTIC PEOPLE WHO TRULY BELIEVE IN ALL OF LIFE'S POSSIBILITIES, YOU MAY WANT TO REDIRECT YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY FROM THIS POST

Yes…I have CHAMPAGNE in my veins. And of course, given that I am from the Magnificent Northwest, that is organically-grown, sulfite-free, Washington-produced champagne, naturally!

I find myself waking up before dawn, my heart full with grateful anticipation at the gift of another day. You see, there are MIRACLES happening all around our world, MIRACLES! It is as if we humans are finally waking from a long and restless sleep, becoming aware that life as we have known it not only no longer exists, but is transforming right before our eyes.   I am seeing this in my own community, and in communities all around the world. The old ways of conducting business – greed-driven, self-serving, hostile and covert – are being replaced with transparency, an awareness of the superiority of synergistic cooperation, and the importance of conserving natural resources in the process.  I was thrilled to get an e-mail this morning from my former university inviting me to participate in a conference entitled:

Collaboration for the Greater Good

      SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
                          IN THE GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN

Collaboration for the GREATER GOOD!

We are finally waking up to the fact that what we put out there – our thoughts, our actions, our PRINCIPLES, our words, our MESSES – creates an immediate impact on our fellow human beings. One can act with complete disregard for another, but it is no longer going unnoticed or ignored. Tolerance for greed, waste, disrespect, and abusive practices is at an all-time low. Witness the miracle that is currently taking place in Haiti. Out of the unimaginable horror visited on one of the poorest places on earth, we see the human spirit soaring upward as help, support, supplies, prayers, and money are pouring in from around the world to help our fellow brothers and sisters. I spoke to a friend today, a nurse, whose doctor husband will be traveling to Haiti on Friday in a transport plane to do what he can to help. And you will often find that same urge to be of help will be apparent in your own community, as neighbors come together to do what they can to help those in need. I know you'll agree that tragedies do not just occur in a vacuum, "out there", somewhere else. They are right here. And I am personally witnessing a SURGE of people determined to find that vehicle, that form of expression, that method that will help them contribute to lifting up another human being. What is truly beautiful is that in doing so, they will find themselves simultaneously lifted.

I speak of our industry – Network Marketing – with great amounts of respect and appreciation, because I KNOW that it provides a vehicle to accomplish this very thing. People who never imagined they had the ability to explore another part of themselves, discover a WEALTH of talent and ability they never knew existed AND they find they can assist others with these gifts, simply by being THEMSELVES in a true and authentic way. Attraction-based marketing – such a beautiful concept! We draw specific people to us because they are attracted to the message that is uniquely our own.  I am personally witnessing the TRANSFORMATION, the unfolding into extraordinary, the EXPANSION of the people I work with on a daily basis as they discover themselves and all they have to offer, and it inspires me, puts a lump in my throat, and makes me often laugh out loud with pure delight. It is ALL about LOVE. That is the NEW CURRENCY in our global village. And I am delighted to imagine ALL of the possibilities.

I love the “Champagne in my veins” concept – and organic besides!!! We all need to remember that we are not living in a cocoon or under a rock. We are the World (okay – that's not my line, but it's true). Thanks again for another timely and thought-provoking post.
